MOVEit Hack Hits 1.3M in Maine, Disclosure Delay Draws Scrutiny  

Maine officials have revealed that the mass-hack of the MOVEit file-transfer technology potentially exposed the information of more than 1.3 million people who had contact with state agencies. So reports the Portland Press Herald.

moveitArthur House, Connecticut’s former chief cybersecurity officer, told the newspaper that the six-month time span before Maine announced the breach was unduly long.

However, Marc Bleicher, chief technology officer at Surefire Cyber, said organizations have their work cut out before going public with a breach.
