Data Breach Law Passes in Washington State

The Washington state legislature has passed a major new data breach law. So reports SC Magazine.

The law widens and solidifies the obligations for businesses and government organizations to notify consumers of a breach. But the state House missed a deadline to pass a data privacy law that was meant to be one of the toughest nationwide.
