Regulators Poised to Tighten U.S. Bank Cybersecurity Oversight

U.S. regulators are planning on working together to assess banks’ cybersecurity defenses. So reports The Financial Times.

“Several senior regulators” said they’re cooperating on preparing a new way of testing banks’ protections against cyber attacks. The proposed structure could be ready later this year. Under the current system, each agency takes a separate look but not might get a full view of a bank’s cyber risks.
