House Passes IoT Security Legislation

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that aims to shore up the security of federal devices connected to the internet. So reports The Hill.

Internet of thingsThe Internet of Things (IoT) Cybersecurity Improvement Act would mandate compliance with certain security recommendations for all computers, smartphones and other internet-connected devices bought by the federal government.

The bill passed unanimously with bipartisan support.
