Russian Hackers Take Credit for U.S. Hospital Website Issues  

A pro-Russian hacking group claimed responsibility for cyberattacks resulting in website issues for various U.S. hospital systems, including Duke Health in North Carolina. So reports The News & Observer.

Russian federation 38922 640smallWhile Duke Health didn’t specify the cause of what it said were “intermittent issues” with its public website, the University of Michigan Health acknowledged experiencing issues as a result of a cyberattack. Atrium Health, also in North Carolina, was among affected hospital systems as well.

According to technology company Bettercyber, hacking organization Killnet has asserted that it was behind the January 30 wave of attacks.
