U.S. Department of Transportation Investigates Massive Breach  

A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Transportation has confirmed that the agency is looking into a data breach affecting 237,000 now and former federal government employees. So reports cybersecurity firm Recorded Future’s news outlet, The Record.

DOTThe DOT told Congress that the breach centered on TRANServe, a commuting reimbursement benefit program for government workers.

The spokesperson told The Record that no transportation safety systems were impacted by the incident.
