In a First, Equifax Faces Moody’s Downgrade Over Cyberattack

Equifax has become the first company to have its ratings outlook downgraded by Moody’s for the cited reason of cybersecurity issues. So reports CNBC.

Moody’s cut Equifax’s outlook from stable to negative amid the ongoing fallout from the credit monitoring company’s vast 2017 data breach. “This is the first time the fallout from a breach has moved the needle enough to contribute to the change,” a Moody’s spokesperson said.
