Data Breach Hits Millions of LabCorp, Quest Diagnostics Patients

A data breach at third-party collections firm American Medical Collection Agency, also known as AMCA, affected 12 million Quest Diagnostics patients and 7.7 million LabCorp patients, the medical testing companies have revealed. So reports USA Today.

In separate filings with financial regulators, Quest and LabCorp each said that personal information including names, addresses, and birthdates might have been compromised in a breach that took place from Aug. 1, 2018, to March 30, 2019. AMCA said it was “investigating a data incident involving an unauthorized user accessing [its] system.”
