Massive $1B DoD Audit Finds Cybersecurity Shortcomings, Offers Remedies

A $1 billion Department of Defense audit has found systemic problems with the agency's cybersecurity. So reports Government Technology.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan said the audit revealed problems with "inventory accuracy and complying with cybersecurity discipline." The audit began in December of 2017. The 2014 National Defense Authorization Act required the Department of Defense to be prepared for its first-ever full audit by September of last year.
