Chinese Nationals Indicted for Hacking U.S. Gov’t Agencies

Two Chinese nationals said to be working with their country’s state security ministry have been indicted on a number of hacking-related charges. So reports Security Boulevard.

Zhu Hua and Zhang Jianguo allegedly used phishing tactics to steal business information, intellectual property and technology data from 2006 to 2018. The nationals were said to have accessed more than 40 computers from the Navy, in addition to other computers owned by defense and commercial companies, with targeted email campaigns. However, prosecutions are unlikely.
