UConn Health Facing Class Action Over Data Breach

UConn Health has been hit with a lawsuit seeking class-action status after it recently disclosed a data breach. So reports the Hartford Courant.

In February, UConn Health said an unauthorized third party had broken into employee email accounts containing the personal information of 326,000 current and former patients. The lawsuit filed in federal court by Yoselin Martinez, a patient at the Connecticut health center, said cyber attackers “had months to access, view and steal patient data unabated.”
