Hotel Booking Firm Sabre to Pay $2.4M in Breach Settlement

Sabre Corp., a travel booking system operator, has agreed to pay $2.4 million in a settlement with 27 states after a 2016-2017 data breach. So reports the Associated Press.

SabreInformation from about 1.3 million credit cards was compromised in the breach, according to an announcement by the states’ attorneys general.

Sabre revealed the breach in a May 2017 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company didn’t respond to the Associated Press’ requests for comment.
