Texas Medicaid Subcontractor Axed After Russia Hack

Texas Medicaid contractor Accenture has fired its subcontractor Benefit Recovery Specialists Inc. following a 2020 data breach affecting almost 275,000 people. So reports The Dallas Morning News.

A spokesperson for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission said the agency didn't learn that 98.5% of possible victims were Texas Medicaid patients until asked by the newspaper.
