12 Arrested for Alleged Role in International Ransomware Attacks  

European law enforcement has arrested 12 people for allegedly participating in ransomware attacks affecting critical infrastructure worldwide. So reports GovInfoSecurity.

handcuffs 1078871 640smallEuropol announced that these dozen individuals allegedly impacted 1,800 victims in 71 countries as well as disrupting operations at big companies.

They allegedly deployed ransomware strains such as LockerGoga, MegaCortex and Dharma.
