Missouri Retains Data Breach Service After Security Flaw Detected

Missouri has hired a company for data breach and credit monitoring services, two weeks after journalists found a security vulnerability on a state website. So reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

cybersecurity castle gd6e2c0295 640Gov. Mike Parson’s administration inked a contract with Oregon-based Identity Theft Guard Solutions on October 29, according to purchasing documents.

The security flaw, first detected by the Post-Dispatch, potentially exposed the Social Security numbers of some 100,000 teachers.
