Danish Turbine Giant Vestas Divulges Ransomware Attack  

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has revealed that a cybersecurity incident affecting its systems on November 19 was a ransomware attack. So reports Wind Power Monthly.

ransomware 3998798 1920As Reuters reports, Vestas previously disclosed that the attack caused it to shut down IT systems across multiple business units and locations.

“There is no indication that the incident has impacted third party operations, including customer and supply chain operations,” the company said.
