Pac NW Chain McMenamins Loses Operations to Ransomware Attack  

McMenamins, a family-run dining and hospital chain in the Pacific Northwest, has been forced to shut down some operations due to a ransomware attack. So reports ThreatPost.

ransomware 2318381 640The attack involved a data breach affecting 12 years of staff member information, the chain of brewpubs, hotels and more reportedly confirmed.

Data stolen spanned from January 1, 1998, to June 30, 2010, and included Social Security numbers, birthdates, performance notes and information on health insurance as well as retirement accounts.
