Meta Falls Under Regulatory Scrutiny Over Child Privacy with Oculus  

Meta has come under the UK data watchdog’s crosshairs amid public criticisms that its Oculus Quest 2 device might breach British child-safety rules. So reports The Guardian.

OculusThe Information Commissioner’s Office said it intended “further discussions” with the Facebook and Instagram parent company about the virtual reality headset.

Specifically, the ICO planned to reach out to Meta about whether the popular gadget meets the UK “age-appropriate design code,” also called the children’s code. Under the code, the “best interests of the child should be a primary consideration” for online services that will probably be used by minors.
