Cybersecurity M&A Soars to $77.5B in 2021  

The volume of cybersecurity mergers and acquisitions surged last year to $77.5 billion, according to data compiled by cybersecurity consultancy Momentum. So reports ZDNet.

ProofpointFourteen M&A deals topped $1 billion each, led by Proofpoint’s $12.3 billion acquisition by Thoma Bravo, NortonLifeLock’s $8.4 billion merger with Avast PLC and Okta’s $6.4 billion deal for Autho.

Cybersecurity M&A volume was more than triple the 2020 total of ​​$19.7 billion, according to Momentum.
