Cash App Breach May Affect More Than 8 Million People

A data breach of mobile payment app Cash App has potentially affected more than 8 million users. So reports USA Today.

cash appCash App’s parent company, Block, said in a regulatory filing that a former employee downloaded reports containing U.S. users’ personal information.

Block, launched by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, said the possible impact of the breach was limited to the 8.2 million users of Cash App Investing. The data downloaded included full names and brokerage numbers but not bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or login credentials, the financial services company said.
