IronNet Announces Layoff As Cybersecurity Job Cuts Spread  

Virginia-based network security company IronNet has announced that it is laying off 55 workers, or roughly 17% of its staff, as a recent wave of layoffs across the cybersecurity industry continues to build. So reports TechCrunch.

ironnetIronNet’s move came less than a year after the company filed to go public, and a spokesperson said it’s part of a plan to cut costs and preserve cash.

Although the cybersecurity sector saw unfilled job postings increase by 350% last year, some companies, especially late-stage startups, have been laying off employees lately amid uncertainty about future profitability.
