AMD Probes Alleged RansomHouse Data Breach  

Advanced Micro Devices has revealed that it is investigating a possible data breach following upstart cybercrime gang RansomHouse’s claim to have stolen the chipmaker’s data. So report TechCrunch.

amdAn AMD spokesperson said the company was “aware of a bad actor claiming to be in possession of stolen data” but didn’t detail whether it had received a ransomware demand.

RansomHouse, which first surfaced in December 2021, recently purported to be behind a cyberattack on African retailer Shoprite.
