Average Data Breach Cost Hits All-time High of $4.35M: IBM  

The average data breach worldwide cost organizations $4.35 million this year, the highest level ever. That’s according to IBM’s annual report on the cost of a data breach.

dollar 3706548 640 smallThe cost was highest for U.S. companies, which paid an average of $9.4 million per data breach, according to IBM.

Globally, companies involved in critical infrastructure industries paid an average of $4.8 million, compared with $3.8 million for organizations in other markets, the report said.
