Biden’s State of the Union Treads Softly on Cybersecurity  

Continuing a recent pattern, President Joe Biden referred to cybersecurity-related topics such as online privacy during his recent State of the Union address, but he didn’t tackle cybersecurity outright. So reports The Washington Post.

Biden smile 5621670 640Cliff Steinhauer, director of information security and engagement at the nonprofit National Cybersecurity Alliance, told the Post that when Biden discussed maintaining the privacy of personal data online, that “absolutely” pertains to cybersecurity.

Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) said in a statement that Biden’s failure to mention cybersecurity by name in the speech marks “a clear void.”
