California Medical Breach Affects 3.3 million Patients  

Several medical groups in California have collectively disclosed a data breach they say exposed the personal information of more than 3.3 million patients. So reports Bleeping Computer.

red cross 303433 640smallThe medical groups—Regal Medical Group, Lakeside Medical Organization, ADOC Medical Group and Greater Covina Medical—are all part of the Heritage Provider Network.

The breach notification filed with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says a ransomware attack took place on December 1, 2022, and that medical information and Social Security numbers were among the compromised data.
