Denver Public School Data Breach Hits Students, Staff  

The Denver Public Schools district has announced a data breach affecting the personal and financial information of employees and students. So reports local 9News.

finger 2081169 1280Data exposed in the breach included employee Social Security numbers and fingerprints as well as bank account numbers, student ID numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport details and some health plan enrollment information, according to the district.

DPS announced the breach 58 days after discovering it on Jan. 4, prompting criticism over the delay from at least one teacher and a state lawmaker.
