Hitachi Energy Faults Third-party Vendor for Ransomware Breach  

Hitachi Energy has attributed a data breach to a ransomware gang exploiting a previously unknown bug in Fortra’s GoAnywhere managed file transfer software. So reports Security Week.

Hitachi EnergyThe sustainable energy giant said that the Clop ransomware gang may have accessed employee data.

The company noted that network operations and customer data did not appear to have been exposed.
