Cyber-insurer Coalition Simulates Cataclysmic Hacks  

Coalition, a cyber-insurance vendor, has rolled out a model that simulates devastating losses, such as a sudden, worldwide shutdown of all computers. So reports Bloomberg.

arrow 15544 640smallCoalition said its “Active Cyber Risk Model” would help insurers see their risk exposure so they could target their sales more effectively.

A simulation run by the Active Cyber Risk Model found that a catastrophic cyberattack on 5,000 U.S. companies could result in a $29.8 billion hit to the national economy.
