MOVEit Bug Strikes BBC, British Airways in Ransomware Attack  

The online extortionists behind the cl0p ransomware site have claimed responsibility for data breaches at the BBC, British Airways and UK retailer Boots—part of a broader hack resulting from a recently announced flaw in the popular MOVEit file-transfer tool. So reports Reuters.

Brithish AirwaysThe British organizations said the breach hit their payroll provider, Zellis, exposing the personal data of tens of thousands of employees. Also breached through the MOVEit vulnerability was Nova Scotia’s provincial government.

Progress Software, the Massachusetts-based maker of MOVEit, said that it fixed the bug and has been facilitating an investigation.
