Under the proposed settlement filed in California federal court, the professional football franchise would pay class members up to $2,000 each for “ordinary expenses,” up to $7,500 apiece for “documented extraordinary sentences” and an $85 cash payment for California class members.
Along with offering two years of identity protection services for class members, the settlement also calls on the 49ers to hire a cybersecurity specialist and create the new role of executive vice president of technology to lead IT operations.
