Amazon, Google Sign on for White House Cybersecurity Labels  

Companies that have committed to a new White House voluntary-labeling program for connected devices that meet certain cybersecurity standards include Amazon, Best Buy, Google, LG Electronics, Logitech and Samsung. So reports CNBC.

AmazonThe Biden administration unveiled the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark shield, which various Internet of Things gadgets could carry if they adhere to the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s cybersecurity benchmarks.

Following a public comment period with the Federal Communications Commission, the initiative is projected to start up in 2024.
