FBI Flounders in Fight Against Casino Hackers, Cyber Pros Say  

Nine cybersecurity responders, cybercrime experts and cyberattack victims have described a sluggish response by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to the hacking group behind September’s breaches of MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment. So reports Reuters.

FBI seal g4471fd7d1 640Executives such as Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike, said they were puzzled why the FBI did not seem to have arrested the group’s many hackers known to be in America. Some security pros refer to this group as “Scattered Spider.” The FBI has said it is investigating the casino operator breaches but a spokesperson declined to comment more broadly to the news service.
