Cantwell, Pallone Call on Better Federal Oversight of Pipelines

Congressional lawmakers called on the Department of Homeland Security to bolster cyber-protections for U.S. gas and oil pipelines. So reports Reuters.

Sen. Maria Cantwell and Rep. Frank Pallone requested a report on the status of the infrastructure security, which apparently detailed a lack of federal oversight on “critical conduits." The report included 10 recommendations to improve cybersecurity, including reviewing, and possibly revising, security guidelines regularly.
