Facebook Faces Possible 'Record' U.S. Fine Following Data Breach

The Federal Trade Commission is considering what would be a “record” fine against Facebook. So reports The Washington Post and Bloomberg.

Facebook may have violated an agreement it made with the FTC in 2011 to better protect users’ privacy. The fine would be the social-media company’s first since the revelation last year that political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica accessed the personal data of roughly 70 million U.S. Facebook users.
