The DHS-overseen Transportation Security Administration (TSA)issued a security directive that would mandate disclosure of cyber incidents by pipeline companies. The directive mandates critical pipeline owners and operators:
- Report cybersecurity incidents—both confirmed and potential—to CISA
- Designate a Cybersecurity Coordinator who is available all day, every day
- Review current cybersecurity practices, identify potential risks and solutions to them and report them to the TSA and CISA within 30 days
