Working from Home Poses Cybersecurity Risk, Warns Nationwide

One of the biggest cybersecurity threats to small business comes from miscues by telecommuters, according to Nationwide Insurance. So reports Fox Business.

While the vast majority of small business owners say they allow their employees to work remotely, one-fifth have not formally trained their employees on cybersecurity, an annual survey by Nationwide finds. Half of small business owners say they have not updated their remote work guidelines in the last year.

Catherine Rudow, Nationwide’s vice president of cyber insurance, told Fox “What may seem like a harmless public wi-fi network could ultimately pose serious troubles for a business.”
