Glitch Exposes Data of All 6.5 Million Israeli Voters

A software bug made it possible to view the full names, addresses, identity card numbers and other personal data for all 6.5 million eligible voters in Israel. So reports The New York Times.

israel 162325 640 smallWhile it is unclear how many people might have viewed the data or how the leak occurred, the Israel Justice Ministry’s Privacy Protection Authority said it was looking into the subject.

The software’s manufacturer called the data exposure a “one-off incident that was immediately dealt with.”
