Google Gives Security Keys to Presidential Campaigns

Google has announced a new initiative to help the 2020 presidential campaigns secure their information in light of foreign interference in 2016 and fresh threats this time around. So reports Wired.

democrats 3801639 640 smallThe online search behemoth is working with Defending Digital Campaigns, a nonpartisan nonprofit, to give out security keys meant to assist the campaigns in keeping their GSuite accounts safe.

Given the ephemeral nature of campaigns, Pete Buttigieg was the only 2020 Democratic contender known to employ a chief information security officer—that is, until the CISO departed a few weeks ago.
