Meta Warns Facebook Users Against Malicious Apps  

Facebook parent company Meta has cautioned that users of the social network are having their data targeted through malicious apps. So reports SC Magazine.

facebook 2429746 640 smallMeta said in a blog post that Apple and Google had removed more than 400 malicious Android and iOS apps from its stores after being alerted by Meta that the apps were stealing Facebook users’ login details.

Meta said that the apps included purported photo editors, virtual private networks and mobile games but often offered little functionality beyond requesting that users login with their Facebook passwords.
