Small Biz is U.S. Cybersecurity 'Achilles Heel,' Experts Warn  

Main Street businesses have become so vulnerable to cyberattacks that one cybersecurity expert calls them probably the economy’s “Achilles heel.” So reports BBC News.

arrows 311332 640 smallRepresenting 99% of U.S. firms and employing almost half of Americans, small businesses saw a 150% spike in cyberattacks between 2020 and 2021, according to Mastercard subsidiary Risk Recon.

As the pandemic began in March 2020, just 20% of small businesses intended to spend on cybersecurity, according to a CNBC survey.
