Dish Confirms Ransomware Attack Affecting 300,000 Employees  

Dish has acknowledged the theft by hackers of nearly 300,000 employees’ personal data in a ransomware attack earlier this year. So reports TechCrunch.

dishThe satellite TV provider said in a data breach filing with Maine’s attorney general that customer databases weren’t compromised by the attack.

The company said that affected parties include former employees, employees’ family members and a “limited number of other individuals.”
