Smashing Pumpkins Singer Pays Ransom to Avoid Music Leak  

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan paid a hacker ransom to prevent the early leak of music from the alternative rock band’s recently released album. So reports SecureWorld.

smashing pumpkinsCorgan revealed the hack and the payment in an interview on podcast The Klein/Ally Show, saying he’d heard about the hack from a fan and the FBI was involved.

Corgan said that the hacker also allegedly had material from other artists. The amount of the ransom wasn’t clear.
