CIA’s Informant Contact Link Potentially Exposed: Researcher  

A cybersecurity researcher has warned that a link meant to provide informants with a secure means of tipping off the Central Intelligence Agency was possibly vulnerable to hijacking. So reports Motherboard.

CIAKevin McSheehan, age 37, noticed that a link from the CIA’s X account meant to direct potential informants to the spy agency’s Telegram channel inadvertently went to an unclaimed Telegram account.

McSheehan said he registered the account before a threat actor could have done so and potentially impersonated the CIA.
